Environment 2009

1st: “The California Academy of Sciences Exhibit” – Volume Inc.

The Challenge: Design 20,000 square feet of exhibition space in Renzo Piano’s new museum, have it blend seamlessly into the building and the park setting and then engage, educate and inspire a global audience. We co-opted the scientific specimen box as a method of organizing content with a contemporary spin, allowing for the different kinds of information to be arranged in varied and compelling ways. The exhibit modules were developed from a standardized kit of parts- including direct-to-ply prints, low energy LED lightboxes, A/V and specimens creating a non-linear “contemporary cabinet of curiosities.” www.volumesf.com

2nd: “CLIF Bar 2 mile Challenge” – CLIF Bar & Company

The Clif Bar 2 Mile Challenge hopes to inspire necessary change by both challenging AND providing solutions for hurdles folks may have for not riding their bikes for short trips. Goal: less oil, less money – more fun! Includes mobile biodiesel tour, online interactive module, and smiles… Free of charge. Please visit us at 2milechallenge.com
